I am trying to find out how I can have my case esponged, or get a presidential or govenors pardon. I am 30 years old, a mother of three, and a college student. In 2000, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was charged with pimping for being on the telephone when officers came in the building. I was at the time on the phone with ex-husband, There was a fight in my home and he was letting me know to come there and try to stop it. My children were there and I was arrested. A stabbing occured at my house because I was being arrested for being on the phone. I refused arrest, I wanted to know what I did. I was told that if I could tell them about owner some guy named steve they would drop charges. The arresting officers were rude and they made jokes. They choked me and left scratches on my wrist and neck. Pictures were taken at the police station. In court they were not presented. I was told by one of the officers that it didn't matter if I was innocent, the people and the judge would believe a 22 year law abiding officer, over a like me. I was found guilty by testimony of the officers, and they stated that I told them I was the pimp. The females that I was accused of soliciting testified that they took their own calls to do what they were doing. I admit I resisted arrest, but I did not ault any one especially not an officer. I had hand cuffs on. The court caase was not recorded and it is very hard to find a person to help me. The lawyer I had already decided before the case that he was going to let me be found guilty to help shut down the old shops and open new ones. The females let me know before the trial, because they worked for him in a new place that he opened up as tanning place or something. I really need help with this issue. I have never been in trouble with the law. I have been studying law and trying to become a lawyer since 1994. When the judge found me guilty and gave me my sentence, she said live my state and never come back. "Good luck with becoming a lawyer" and she laughed. please help.
