It was reported in English newspapers in May 1998 that though Paul Johnson regularly condemned moral failings in others, he'd been having an adulterous affair for 11 years.
The affair ended when the woman, another writer, called Gloria Swain, became so disgusted with Johnson's hypocrisy and dishonesty, that she told a reporter about their affair.
Johnson himself said, while he was having his adulterous affair, that someone who has irregularities such as adultery in their private lives, can not a be good or moral thinker.
The hypocrite stands condemned by his own words. How dare he be self-righteous, attacking other people without the Christian qualities of humility or mercy, while himself living a lie?
