Buying a yacht and keeping it in charter; Average size yacht versus a mega yacht
Example 1: 2005 Bavaria 49 ft 5 staterooms 200,000 euros new. 18 weeks (spring-fall) charter at an average of 4,000 euros per week in The Balearics = 72,000 euros minus dock, maintenance, charter fees =45,000 euros net to the Bavaria owner. Take the same boat to the Canaries for the winter and expect 9 to 15 weeks charter at an average 4,000 a week. 10 weeks = 40,000 euros minus charter expenses = 28,000 net to owner. This makes a total of 73,000 euros net to the owner per year. The average boat can be in charter for the first 5 to 6 years
This is not inflated numbers!! These are the facts. In 3 years the boat is paid for. The next 3 years is all on top strait profit.
We do the initial sale of the vessel. We arrange all the paperwork for setting up your charter company and line your boat up for charter contracts and the boat does the rest.
Example 2:
On a larger scale - Falcon 100 2000 model Sale price 2.7 mil euros. 20 weeks at 50,000 euros per week = 1,000,000 minus charter fees = 700,000 to 800,000 per year net to owner. This is probably the worst-case scenario. You could do more with the right charter company. Call me for more info and I can provide specs and all the proof you need in writing.
I have 30 years sailing experience and 12 years in yacht sales. 10 years working with the same company.
By the way it’s your boat and you can use it any time as long as there is not a charter booked for that time slot. Contact:
